- Fresko City is an art projekt that combines my little camera, my love and support for local artists, and my writing in order to explore scenes beyond the mainstream. Some locations and events will be outside of San Francisco, stretching from the Left Coast to the South, from my backyard to yours. This blog is dedicated to creation and destruction, presence and absence. I want to approach the music, art, and poetry scenes beyond criticisms and technical writing; I am in search of experiences, people, stories, local beauty, and the aesthetically challenged. also known as inspiration: the clink of aerosol cans, Linmark's sexual honesty, the musicality of typewriters, Uriza Holthe's bullets and beauty, that tatak on your bak, the artist who lives in government housing on Cesar Chavez who leaves his garage door open when he paints, Patrick Rosal's Guns N' Roses approach to love, the Brooklyn poets who drop feminine knowledge in front of the BART station on 16th & Mission, the pantun as a metaphor for life, strength in leaving/strength in staying, Azul's need to give music to San Antonio, men who transcend their physical strength and womyn's physical form, womyn who love unconditionally, people who live passionately every second and who don't see electricity as something that disappears when the lights turn off.
